Sterling’s AccuMeter series continuous loss-in-weight (LIW) feeding system works with most pellets, regrind powders and liquids, which can be metered into the process at levels greater than 50 grams/hr. The LIW system features a modular, compact architecture that provides flexibility for changes in processes. Self-calibration eliminates the need to take manual weight samples or do calibrations. The system can feed from 50 grams/hr. to 7,500 kg/hr. (16,500 lbs.) and can accommodate up to eight precision feeders per extruder. The controls consist of a Rockwell CompactLogix PLC with a PanelView CE 1000 HMI.
