Aseptic packaging market grows

Aseptic Packaging In The United States, a market study and desk-top reference, covers U.S. aseptic packaging operations as of January 1, 1999. The report analyzes the market for aseptic packaging materials and equipment, lists all aseptic fillers installed in the U.S. since 1995, and profiles suppliers of aseptic fillers and their equipment, including photos and engineering drawings. Since FDA's recent approval of an aseptically packaged low-acid particulated product, "some major food processors are now recommitting their efforts to actively research aseptic processing and packaging of low-acid foods containing particulates," says the author. Produced by International Aseptic Technology (Overland Park, KS), the report is available for $2,950 from: Packaging Strategies, 122 S. Church St., West Chester, PA 19382; Tel.: (610) 436-4220.
