Regulatory Watch: Failure to communicate
April 16, 2003
In an appearance before Congress, USDA’s Office of Inspector General has rapped the agency for not effectively communicating. Acting Inspector General Joyce Fleisch-man testified before the House Appropriations Subcommittee, saying USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and its Food Safety and Inspection Service did not always work well together to meet their common goals.
