Potato halver

Key Technology, Inc.’s Farmco Division offers the Potato Halver in its line of grading and separating equipment. It cuts too-long potatoes in half crosswise, so that french-fry processors can increase yield, achieve length specifications and prevent product length-related packaging challenges.

The unit typically cuts 160 to 180 potatoes per minute and achieves its highest efficiency when used in conjunction with other Farmco products and Key vibratory conveyors.

According to the company, it minimizes waste or reprocessing. The Potato Halver features stainless steel and food-grade plastic construction with food-grade plastic mesh cross-feed conveyor. Applications include potato processing, distribution, and packaging lines.
