Heat and Control says its horizontal-motion FastBack 260E conveyor delivers twice the product travel rate of comparable conveyors for producers of high-flow rate products. The drive unit handles pans up to 35-ft. long, allowing simple conveyor conversions to suit new plant layouts. The conveyor is suitable for frozen French fries and vegetables, snacks and baked products and cut lettuce and fresh vegetables. The company says the slow forward/fast back drive motion reduces product build-up in the conveyor pan and eliminates product segregation and sifting.
