Based on feedback from consumers, health professionals and industry representatives, the Food and Drug Administration has made improvements to its website, www.fda.gov, to provide users with quicker and easier access to information. The biggest change to the site is displaying current FDA news on the home page. The news section, which has an archive of press releases and other news dating back to 1992, includes safety alerts and product approvals that are updated regularly.

Other features on the revamped site include information on "hot topics"; a "reference room" that links to Federal Register notices and regulations enforced by FDA, and an improved search engine and site map to locate information.

Users can also report problems with products regulated by FDA, and submit comments on proposed regulations.

Up-to-date news, safety alerts and product approvals on the home page are just some of the new features of the improved FDA website.
