With speeds up to 1,200 rpm and power levels to 165kWhr/t SME at volumetric capacity, Wenger Magnum ST twin-screw extruders meet an extreme range of operating parameters. Existing Wenger twin-screw extruders can be converted to the new technology. Configurations may include new shear and kneading elements for precise control of product shape, texture, density and cooking time. Process tools such as mid-barrel and back-pressure valves, an external density management system and manual or automatic control systems are available as options.
