Interroll says its series of belt drives, ranging from 80 mm to 216 mm, improves efficiency and safety. Designed for material handling applications, the drives are completely enclosed and sealed inside a steel shell, preventing water, dust, grit, chemicals, grease and oil from affecting the performance of the belt drive. Because the drive unit and bearings are mounted within the protective shell, the belt drive takes up less room than conventional drives with significant noise reduction, says the company.
