Aquionics says recent research comparing photoreactivation of E. coli DNA shows that the DNA underwent extensive repair following exposure to UV from low-pressure UV lamps. Researchers concluded the broad UV output of medium-pressure lamps, between 185-400 nm, has the desirable effect.
