The BK Series packaging splicer from KTI-Keene offers a roll-on/no-snag splice that eliminates the leading edge of a new web, ensuring a smooth transition throughout the package forming process. Traditional splicing techniques leave a leading edge on the new web that can impede the flow of material through the press, says the company. The BK is equipped with a tail grabber splice initiation that is designed to initiate the splice after the web has come off the core, reducing wasted material. It also includes a programmable controller.
