Amcor PET Packaging has added several new sizes to its stock heat-set PET line. The new sizes are a panel-less, rectangular gallon and single-serve 16.9-oz., 12-oz., and 10-oz. bottles.  The gallon is said to be the first rectangular, stock PET heat-set container in this size to be offered to the US market.  The rectangular shape enables more efficient  “cubing” or palletizing of the bottles versus round gallons and also provides a wider front facing for greater shelf impact.  The rectangular gallon is also designed to absorb vacuum across the entire surface of the bottle, including the base.
