Anritsu’s KD7400 series X-ray system detects small pieces of bone, stainless steel, plastic and glass contaminants in food products. The system automatically detects metal contaminants as small as 0.5mm-sphere and 0.3mm-diameter X 2mm-long wire. It simultaneously detects contaminants, underweight conditions and other packaging anomalies, while allowing items, such as clips on sausages and metallic packaging, to be ignored as they pass through the inspection system.
