Designed for handling, packaging, assembling and sorting, B&R’s Galileo Sphere robot handles small parts that require dynamic and precise moves. It consists of 2 iron-core and 2 iron-free linear motors that enable full rotation of the robot and pivoting of more than 68°. The arm is made up of 2 iron-free linear motors (each moving 1 carbon rod) that meet at the wrist joint attached to the gripper. The gripper consists of a suction cup that can be rotated around its axis using a compact motor.
