A new nozzle insertion system for spray dryers is easily adjustable, allowing operators to determine the direction of the atomized cloud and adjust the nozzle position during operation. The nozzles are placed on short, lightweight lances that are fitted into the side of the air disperser at the top of the drying chamber. The new design also encourages operators to adjust the position of the nozzles to achieve the required powder properties – even while the dryer is operating at full capacity.
