The Hapman Helix flexible screw conveyor coupled with a gain-in-weight scale and batch controller can achieve an accuracy of +/-2 oz. in 40- to 70-lb. single-fill applications. The system has a 70-in. mobile holding hopper to maintain material batches; the screw conveyor has variable speed control to adjust the output capacity from fast to dribble mode based on signals from the scale and batch controller. The system has a built-in acceleration ramp function to provide smooth start-up under a full load.
