Carmine Catalana III, Cumberland Diary patriarch, passed away at age 81. Under his direction, Cumberland Dairy grew from a small, local New Jersey dairy to one of the largest producers on the East Coast.

Hapman added Leonard Engineered Products Company of Hollywood, CA to its team of master account representatives.

Sara Lee Corp.and its Norwegian joint venture partner Kaffehuset Friele have entered into an agreement with ISS A/S to acquire the House of Coffee business, a foodservice provider of beverage solutions to offices and institutions in Norway and Denmark.

Sunwin International Nutraceuticals, Inc.entered into an agreement to supply its stevia extracts to Domino Foods, Inc. and its affiliated companies for use in low-calorie sweeteners.

United Natural Foods, Inc. received LEED Gold Certification by the US Green Building Council for its Lancaster, TX distribution center.

Owens-Illinois, Inc.named Tony Gardner the company’s new senior vice president and chief commercial officer. Gardner succeeds Erasmo Schutzer, the company’s former senior vice president and chief marketing officer, who left the company in August.
