Anuga FoodTec, scheduled for March 27-30, in held in Cologne, Germany, offers international food manufacturing companies an opportunity to view the latest technologies dedicated to food and beverage processing, packaging and food safety. The event also includes specialist forums and conference sessions. The event is jointly organized by Koelnmesse GmbH and the German Agricultural Society (DLG).
Compared to the previous event, the trade fair is set to expand its attendance by more than 16 percent this March. In addition, over 50 percent of the 1,300 exhibitors will come from outside Germany, including Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Sweden, Spain, Austria, Turkey and the US.
In addition to the exhibitor presentations, Anuga FoodTec will feature diverse, specialist forums that will provide solutions to problems and cover new, innovative concepts. Forums will cover the following topics: emulsifying technology, process-structure-function relations in food, the use of ultrasound in food technology, energy efficiency, coating and capsules, sensor technology, nanotechnology, controlled temperature logistics, meat technology, cooling and freezing, dosing and weighing technology, nozzles and pumps, IT solutions, robots in baked goods production and foreign object detection.
Conference sessions will include topics such as developments in the production of chilled food, with a particular focus on fresh-cut products; the role of hygiene technology in the production of undamaged and healthy food; extensive sessions on fruit juices; sustainable packaging; robotic packaging; and more.
