ConAgra Foods plans to expand its Orville Redenbacher’s microwave popcorn operations in Jasper County, IN. The company expects to invest $15.6 million to upgrade its Rensselaer plant where it will redesign its corn, slurry and salt systems, and add four microwave popcorn packaging lines.
Lactalis will build a new 61,300-sq.-ft. fresh mozzarella production facility behind its existing facility in Nampa, ID. The new plant is expected to begin operations by the spring of 2013, and will increase the output of Galbani brand cheese by 40 million pounds per year.
B. Robert’s Foods, LLC selected A M King Construction to expand its Charlotte, NC facility. The processor is a local food producer and packager that develops custom programs for grocery stores and restaurants. The expansion will provide new packaging capability, dough and staging, a new docking extension and a new 35˚F cooler.
Wing’s Food Products will build a new plant in Etobicoke, ON to produce Asian-style noodles, egg roll and wonton wraps and other Asian sauces and condiments for foodservice and retail.
