PepsiCo, Inc. announced that it and Tingyi Holding Corp., one of the leading food and beverage companies in China, have received all regulatory and shareholder approvals to create a strategic beverage alliance in China.

Bunge Limited announced a transition of leadership at Bunge Europe, Middle East and Africa (Bunge EMEA). Jean-Louis Gourbin, chief executive officer, Bunge EMEA, will retire, and Tommy Jensen, currently chief operating officer, Bunge EMEA, will succeed him as CEO and report directly to Alberto Weisser, chairman and chief executive officer, Bunge Limited.

Campbell Soup Company announced that Pat Callaghan plans to step down as president of Pepperidge Farm at the end of the company’s fiscal year, July 31, 2012, after more than 30 years with the company. Campbell named current Chief Strategy Officer Irene Chang Britt as the new president of Pepperidge Farm. Britt will be based at Pepperidge Farm’s headquarters in Norwalk, CT and will report to Campbell’s President and CEO Denise Morrison.

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Naturally Fresh, Inc., a privately owned Atlanta, GA-based maker of refrigerated dressings, sauces, marinades, dips and specialty items.

Marvell Foods, a women-owned business, launched Lovella Cuisine, a private-label line of frozen food products for the value-oriented consumer market.

Mt. Capra Products CEO Frank Stout has turned over the reins of company president to his son, Joseph.

Hostess Brands, Inc. named Gregory F. Rayburn as its president and CEO. He replaces Brian Driscoll, who resigned.

Jeff Saval, president of Deli Brands of America, was named co-chairman of the newly consolidated North American Meat Processors Association and National Meat Association to be known as North American Meat Association (NAMA).

PMMI has retained Jeff Barach, PhD, as an expert on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) passed in 2011. A former vice president of the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), he headed GMA’s Science Policy Group and ran the GMA laboratory.

Crown Equipment Corporation appointed Jim Moran to its board of directors, and Jim Mozer joined the company as senior vice president, replacing Moran, who is stepping down from this post. Moran has spent 46 years in the material handling business with Crown.

SPX Corporation’s Flow Technology segment acquired Seital S.r.l, a supplier of disk centrifuges (separators and clarifiers) to the global food, beverage and other industries.

Blake Moret, senior vice president, Control Products and Solutions, Rockwell Automation, was elected vice chair of The Manufacturing Institute board of trustees. He succeeds Ronald Bullock, chairman of Bison Gear & Engineering Corp., in this voluntary leadership position.

Massachusetts-based Spindrift Soda announced the official kick-off of production on the West Coast. The West Coast operations will be based in Lafayette, CA.

Baristas Coffee Company Inc. entered into a comprehensive product development and distribution agreement with New York City-based Calip Dairies, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Baristas will work with Calip to launch its newly developed branded ice cream line.

Representatives of ITW Food Equipment Group–North America accepted the 2012 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award from the US Environmental Protection Agency at a ceremony held in Washington, DC.

Dairy Farmers of America purchased a facility at 4350 Hurricane Creek Blvd. in Antioch, MI from Schreiber Foods Inc.
