GEA Process Engineering received an order for building what is said to be the world’s largest dairy spray dryer from Fonterra in New Zealand. The plant will have a capacity of 30 tons/hr. of whole milk powder, equivalent to more than 4.4 million liters/day of milk.

 

SPX Corporation’s Flow Technology segment was awarded a contract worth more than $30 million from ArNoCo GmbH & Co. KG of Germany, a joint venture between DMK and Arla Food Ingredients. Under the terms of the contract, SPX will provide ArNoCo with a complete lactose processing system, including sanitary membrane plants, for the large-scale production of whey protein concentrate (WPC) at a new cheese plant in Northern Germany.
