The Shat-R-Shield 5 watt safety-coated, compact fluorescent mini twist lamp uses only 5 watts of power for a lumen output equivalent to a 25 watt incandescent. The lamp has a 12,000 hours average-rated life and end-of-life safety circuitry. It is shatter resistant and safely contains virtually all glass, mercury and phosphors within the skintight silicone coating if the lamp is accidentally broken. The coating is clear and does not yellow over the life of the lamp.
