An attachment that continuously or intermittently washes screen mesh free of solids, the SWECO MM4 Traveling Spray system features a traveling bar equipped with 21 spray nozzles. Moving from side to side, the bar sprays water directly onto the screen mesh, reverses at the sidewalls and travels back over the screen for a continual cleaning process. The unit is suspended from the stationary sump skid to avoid interfering with the vibrating basket; it has a variable speed drive to optimize the screen de-blinding process while minimizing water usage. Typical applications include dewatering cellulose fibers, plastic recycling, starch production and general waste stream solids removal.
