Dorner Manufacturing Corp. President and CEO Richard Ryan died in a motorcycle accident on September 8 while traveling in the western US. Ryan began his career with Dorner in October 2005, when he was hired as its COO. He held that position until June 2012, when he was appointed president and CEO following the company’s acquisition by Pittsburgh-based Incline Equity Partners. Prior to joining Dorner, Ryan held several executive management positions at Rockwell Automation. Ryan also served on PMMI's board of directors and its Business Intelligence Committee, and was active in PMMI's 2011 Long Range Planning/Strategic Vision process.

Grey Eagle Distributors, the Anheuser-Busch wholesaler for St. Louis County, has agreed to purchase Illinois Distribution Company, an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler based in Belleville, IL. The agreement allows Grey Eagle to acquire Illinois Distributing’s assets and sales territory which includes most of St. Clair County, Monroe County, Collinsville and Granite City.
