MoreWalmart Stores, Inc. announced plans to offer a monthly food subscription service, called Goodies Co., in the US. For $7 monthly, subscribers will receive a seasonally themed gift box with five to eight taster samples ranging from healthy and organic to artisan and ethnic. Items will be worth more than $7 total, giving consumers the opportunity to sample new and different products at a savings. Walmart has also launched a social community for Goodies Co. subscribers to post reviews in exchange for loyalty points, which can be redeemed towards future boxes or in stores.
