FDA gives sneak peek at new Food Defense Plan Builder tool

FDA will offer enhanced free online courses on food defense to help shield the US food supply from intentional contamination. The courses, called Food Defense 101, will address the specific types of intentional contamination FDA has seen in recent years, as well as current best practices for preventing and mitigating such occurrences. The four courses are Food Defense Awareness for Professionals; Food Defense Awareness for Frontline Employees; FDA Regulations, which focuses on three federal regulations designed to protect the food supply; and Alert, for owners of food facilities.
