Dr. Jim Gorny, Produce Marketing Association (PMA) vice president of food safety and technology, was appointed chair of the Center for Produce Safety Technical Committee.

Chobani named former Kellogg executive David Denholm as president and CEO; Peter McGuiness, former president and CEO of DDB Chicago, will be chief marketing and brand officer.

The Coca-Cola Company board of directors elected Brent Hastie as vice president and Ana Botín as director of the company.

ConAgra Foods Chief Quality Officer Joan Menke-Schaenzer was appointed to the NSF International board of directors.

Jim Short will join TranSystems as vice president and client manager for the manufacturers & distributors market sector.

Industrial Magnetics promoted Dennis O’Leary to president.

Henningsen Cold Storage promoted Christopher Henningsen to the newly created position of vice president, information services, and Todd Larson to vice president, warehouse operations.

John Ansbro has been named chief technology officer of GEA Refrigeration Technologies.

3-A SSI Standards appointed Eric H. Schweitzer to serve as director, standards and certification.

Hytrol Conveyor Company named Darren Lowitt director of materials.

Campbell Soup Company announced the appointment of Ed Carolan as president, US retail, and Tim Hassett as senior vice president and general manager, away from home products and chief customer officer of Campbell North America. In other news, Campbell Soup Company completed its acquisition of Denmark-based Kelsen Group, and announced the sale of most of its European businesses to CVC Capital Partners, Ltd. 

Viega LLC named current Vice President of Supply Chain Operations Robert Boots as its new COO, effective October 2013.

Cargill named Dr. Brooke Humphrey as global technology director for pork.

International Refrigeration Transportation Association elected Chris Mnichowski, President and CEO of CTI Freight Systems, Inc., chairman of the board of directors; Jim Gray of K&J Trucking as vice chairman; and Matt Luckas of Hanson Logistics as treasurer. Jeremy Dailami (England Logistics), Dan Egan (Mode Cold), Robert Fay (Seminole Rail), and John Hickerson (FFE Transportation) were elected to the board for the first time.

Mettler-Toledo Safeline announced Harry D. Seibert will join the company as head of sales for the United States.

MonoSol LLC, a Kuraray Company, named Christian Herrmanns as director of marketing and business development.

Pump Solutions Group signed a definitive agreement to acquire Italian company Finder S.p.A.

Adept Technology, Inc. named Larry Anderson as vice president of mobile sales, Merrill Apter as vice president of North American sales, Terry Hannon as vice president of business development and corporate strategy and Hai Chang as vice president of Asia and strategic programs.

 Quaker Maid Meats added Mark Clausen as vice president of sales.
