Sesame street waives fee for produce advertisements

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization that produces the popular Sesame Street children's program, has agreed to waive licensing fees for the show's characters when they appear in produce advertisements. Michelle Obama announced the four-year agreement between Sesame Workshops and the Produce Marketing Association as the latest step in support of the first lady's "Let's Move" childhood obesity campaign. Shoppers will begin to see standalone displays of Sesame Street characters, as well as produce stickers bearing their image in grocery stores, as soon as this spring.
