The Hapman full-scale test lab ensures the capacity, size, options and features of selected equipment; the tests are performed in simulated operating conditions so material flow can be analyzed and recorded. The test lab contains major types of conveying equipment, including tubular, drag, vacuum and flexible screw conveyors; feeders and bag dump stations testing is also provided. Visual inspection of the material flow through sight windows, as well as data collection, determines if material flow characteristics indicate the need for agitation, vibration or special augers and hoppers. The tests provide analytical results on a range of performance indicators, including regarding convey ability, flow rate, bulk density, degradation, material abrasion/adhesion and dust containment.
