Designed for ultra-high shear conditions and vigorous flow, the Ross PreMax batch-style rotor/stator mixer supports the high-speed production of fine dispersions and emulsions. The Delta mixing head runs up to 5,000 ft./min. to produce a double vortex that pulls product from the top and bottom of the rotor while expelling material at high velocity through the stator openings and into the surrounding mix. The solids/liquid injection manifold technology allows operators to draw powders straight from a bag and inject them sub-surface where mixing takes place. A modified Delta rotor/stator generates its own negative pressure and does not rely on an external eductor or pump to induct powders.
