Using image processing and multiple concurrent detection algorithms, the Raycon X-ray metal detector identifies a variety of metallic and non-metallic contaminants in packaged and unpackaged products; it also detects agglomerated, deformed, broken and missing items. With the X-ray source under the conveyor, the detector provides full product width inspection, while the control and image processing software simultaneously inspects up to 4 product lines running in parallel at up to 600 items/min. Ethernet connectivity provides data transfer and remote maintenance; a USB port facilitates image saving, product and system backup, and software upgrades.
