Air/oil lift design

The optional line of air/oil lifts is designed for floor mounting, and is similar to the lift arrangement used on the Ross line of high-speed dispersers. The lift provides an economical method of using the rotor/stator mixers in a production situation. It is available for use with mixers driven by motors up to 150 HP. The lift is connected to 100 psi plant air and is normally bolted to a plant floor. The design enables its use with multiple/_portable vessels that can be transported to the mixer, either on cater wheels or by means of a standard plant forklift truck. The lift is provided with mix can clamping devices that can be adjusted to fit multiple-sized vessels that will be used with the mixer.

The Food Defense Strategy Exchange (FDSE) is a forum for food defense professionals to interact and share their knowledge and experiences. At the most recent FDSE, a poll of attendees revealed that approximately two-thirds were either re-evaluating their existing food defense plan, or implementing new food defense plans. In this podcast, Don Hsieh, Director of Commercial and Industrial Marketing at Tyco Integrated Security, discusses this topic and other findings from the exchange, and offers some best practices to proactively protect a company’s brand from food adulteration.
