Fortitech, Inc. and BASF announced a joint venture for the manufacture, marketing and sales of human nutrition premix products. Under the agreement, BASF, which produces nutritional ingredients, will transfer its premix customers in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa to the international companies of Fortitech. BASF will become the primary supplier of a broad range of nutritional ingredients to Fortitech. In turn, Fortitech international companies, a provider of custom-developed nutrient systems, will assume ownership of BASF's facilities in Denmark and Malaysia.

Minnesota Corn Processors and Archer-Daniels-Midland have signed a merger agreement. Structured as a cash-for-stock deal, the agreement calls for ADM to pay a price of $2.90 for each Class A unit to MCP shareholders after the merger.

The Perrier Group of America, Inc. will change its name to Nestle Waters, North America, Inc. The Perrier Group has been part of Nestle SA since 1992 and reported directly to Perrier Vittel SA, the water division in Paris, France. The division recently changed its name to Nestle Waters.

Paul J. Lustig has been appointed president and CEO of Keebler Snacks Division and Senior Vice President of Kellog Company. Prior to joining Kellog, Lustig held several general management and corporate strategy development positions at Sara Lee Corporation.

At Tasty Baking Company Joseph H. Bauer, Ph.D. has been named to the position of vice president manufacturing. Bauer will assume the responsibilities for all aspects of Tasty Baking's manufacturing processes. Presently, he oversees the company's R&D, regulatory affairs, manufacturing and engineering operations.

Tyson Foods, Inc. has appointed Jeri R. Dunn as senior vice president, chief information officer, reporting to CEO John Tyson. Her responsibilities include leading a team of 500-plus information technology professionals, prioritizing system enhancement and technology needs, and establishing objectives consistent with the company's strategic and operational direction.

ConAgra named Chris Kircher as Vice President, Communications, based in Omaha, NB. He will be responsible for the company's communications functions including media relations and communications with the company's key constituencies.

The new Corporate Division Manager for Omron Electronics LLC is Jim Mooney. In addition, he is also the Corporate Division Manager for Omron IDM Controls Inc., a business unit of Omron Electronics LLC and Division Manager for the Omron Technical Automation Solutions Division.
