John A. Hayes and R. David Hoover

Ball Corporation announced that John A. Hayes will become CEO of the corporation at its January 2011 board meeting, as R. David Hoover retires after more than 40 years with Ball.

Paul Maass was promoted to president, Commercial Foods, a ConAgra segment; and Bill Stoufer was promoted to president, ConAgra Mills. Current Commercial Foods President Rob Sharpe will retire.

Martin Brothers, Inc., supplier of equipment in the ice cream and food processing industries, achieved ISO 9001:2008 quality registration.

Jim Renda was appointed president of Multisorb Technologies and is responsible for global operations and business.

Illinois-based Tate & Lyle PLC will move from Decatur, IL to Hoffman Estates, IL after receiving a $15 million package from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. The company will invest $26 million in an innovation center, creating 20 new jobs in addition to its 300 existing jobs.

WILD Flavors, Inc. formed a partnership with Sterling Technology, making WILD the exclusive provider of both Immunel and Tegricel bioactive milk peptide.

According to Kraft Foods, its agreement with Starbucks regarding the sale of packaged coffee in grocery stores and other channels is perpetual. If Starbucks decides to exit its relationship with Kraft Foods, the agreement requires Starbucks to pay Kraft Foods the fair market value of the business plus, in certain instances, a premium. Kraft Foods intends to keep the discussions with Starbucks private.

Nestlé Prepared Foods Company will decrease the sodium content in its products by 10 percent. This change is in addition to earlier reductions.
