Bosch Packaging Technology announced plans to acquire German manufacturer Ampack Amman. Ampack Amman specializes in the production of filling and packaging machines developed specifically for the low-germ and aseptic processing of pre-formed cups and bottles.

 

Rockwell Automation, Inc. has agreed to purchase the assets of the medium-voltage drives business of Harbin Jiuzhou Electric Co. Ltd. The purchase price is RMB 530 million (approximately $83 million U.S. dollars). Closing is expected in October.

 

Multivac appointed Brett Cockrum as head of its new direct packaging solutions business unit.

 

Zeppelin Systems UK acquired the Reimelt-Henschel Group, and will build a state-of-the-art, food technology center in Rodermark, Germany.

 

MAVERICK Technologies introduced PlantFloor 24, a full-service, platform-independent, 24/7 hardware, software and process support solution. PlantFloor 24 allows manufacturers to outsource automation services previously handled by internal staff or outside vendors.

 

DDW announced Ian Cressey has joined the company as plant manager of its manufacturing facility in Manchester, UK.
