Hostess Brands to Shutter Company in Wake of Strike, Bankruptcy

Hostess Brands and its striking employees in the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Union failed to reach an agreement during private mediation on Tuesday. The continued impasse sets up a return to bankruptcy court for the baked snacks company, where a judge will determine whether or not the company can continue to wind down operations and sell off its assets.
