IFT to host Food Policy Impact Conference

Conference brings together food, law, regulation and policy experts

The Institute of Food Technologists will host its annual Food Policy Impact Conference on December 6 at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel in Washington, DC. The conference brings together professionals in food, law, regulation and policy. Topics will include FSMA advances and approaches, genetically modified organisms in the US and the progress and implications of Canada’s regulatory modernization project. The conference will feature speakers from the Grocery Manufacturers Association, National Fisheries Institute, International Food Information Council, Leavitt Partners LLC, Consumers Union, Food Marketing Institute, Food Safety Net Services, Health Canada and Center for Science in the Public Interest. Shane O’Halloran joined Food Engineering in November of 2012 as Digital/Online Editor. He graduated from Oberlin College in 2010, and worked as a copy editor and contributor to BleacherReport.com and ShesGameSports.com.
