Coesia closes acquisition; Oystar North America renamed as R.A. Jones

Coesia Group completed its acquisition of Oystar North America, which will immediately be renamed R.A. Jones and Co. R.A. Jones and Co. has revenues of over $200 million and facilities in Davenport, IA and Covington, KY. The company’s brands include Jones (pouch filling and cartoning), KartridgPak (Chub Packaging), Autoprod and Holmatic (Cup filling and sealing), Aerofill (Aerosol machinery), Dawson (bottle filling) and Map Systems (patented solutions for improving product shelf life). Barry Shoulders will remain as CEO.

Shane O’Halloran joined Food Engineering in November of 2012 as Digital/Online Editor. He graduated from Oberlin College in 2010, and worked as a copy editor and contributor to BleacherReport.com and ShesGameSports.com. He has also written feature articles on a freelance basis for publications in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. His areas of expertise include social media campaigns and website management.
