Chobani opens world’s largest yogurt manufacturing plant

Yogurt maker Chobani opened a second US manufacturing facility in Twin Falls, ID. At one million sq. ft., the plant is the world’s largest yogurt manufacturing facility and cost $450 million to build over 11 months. More than 300 employees have been hired for the plant and more hires are expected in the coming months. “Today marks not only the opening of the world’s largest yogurt plant but also symbolizes the revitalization of US manufacturing, “ said Hamdi Ulukaya, president and CEO of Chobani. “We believe that no other yogurt facility is comparable to the size, technology and efficiency displayed at our new Twin Falls site.”
