CEO of Snyder’s Lance will retire

A new officer has been appointed.

David V. Singer, CEO of Snyder’s-Lance, Inc. announced his plans to retire following the company’s annual meeting of stockholders on May 3, 2013. Singer has served as director of Snyder’s-Lance since 2003 and CEO since 2005. The company’s board of directors has appointed Carl E. Lee, Jr., who has served as president and chief operating officer since 2010, to succeed Singer as CEO.

Shane O’Halloran joined Food Engineering in November of 2012 as Digital/Online Editor. He graduated from Oberlin College in 2010, and worked as a copy editor and contributor to BleacherReport.com and ShesGameSports.com. He has also written feature articles on a freelance basis for publications in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. His areas of expertise include social media campaigns and website management.
