NSF International seeks nominations for International Food Safety Leadership Awards

The winner will be announced at the 2013 Food Safety Summit.

NSF International is now accepting nominations for its International Food Safety Leadership Awards program. In its tenth year, the program recognizes individuals demonstrating outstanding food safety leadership. Foodservice operators, manufacturers, researchers, public health officials and academics are encouraged to submit nominations by February 28, 2013. Categories include education/training, equipment design, packaging innovation, product development, research advances, system improvement and technology breakthroughs. Winners will be announced at the 2013 Food Safety Summit on May 2 in Baltimore, MD.  Guidelines for nominations are available on NSF International’s website.

Shane O’Halloran joined Food Engineering in November of 2012 as Digital/Online Editor. He graduated from Oberlin College in 2010, and worked as a copy editor and contributor to BleacherReport.com and ShesGameSports.com. He has also written feature articles on a freelance basis for publications in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. His areas of expertise include social media campaigns and website management.
