Kraft to remove artifical preservatives from Singles

Kraft is removing sorbic acid, an artifical preservative, from its Singles cheese in full-fat American and White American varieties and replacing it with natamycin to inhibit mold, according to the AP.

New Singles packages have already begun to appear on store shelves, and tout the product as being free of artificial preservatives and flavors. The move reflects a trend towards foods perceived as more natural that recently included a pledge by Subway to remove azodicarbonamide from its breads.
