The
High-Temperature Bulk Powder Cooling Model from Bulkflow Technologies features
horizontal water-cooled tubes to minimize thermal stress and accommodate
thermal expansion. The system cools bulk
solids with temperatures up to 1,000°C. The high-temperature solids flow slowly
by gravity over the cooling tubes while indirectly being cooled. The company
says the tube design is beneficial because the uniform tube provides even
temperature distribution throughout the tube wall to avoid hot spots and local
stresses.
