Steve Schlegel, vice president/ director, corporate development of Hixson Architects/Engineers is the new chairman of the International Association of Food Industry Suppliers (IAFIS) board of directors.

Steve Schlegel, vice president/ director, corporate development of Hixson Architects/Engineers is the new chairman of the International Association of Food Industry Suppliers (IAFIS) board of directors. Along with Schlegel, the 2002-2003 IAFIS board elected two other officers: Jean Moran, CEO and chairman of the board of Label Makers, Inc. is the new IAFIS chair-elect, and Ivan Larsh is the new IAFIS Treasurer. IAFIS President Charlie Bray will continue in his role as board secretary.

The Jackson, FL-based Stellar Group promoted Ron Foster, Jr. to executive vice president. All sales, marketing, design, engineering and construction and refrigeration operations will report to Foster.

Columbus, OH-based Mettler-Toledo, Inc. acquired Automation Services, a Lexington, KY-based software solutions provider of vehicle-scale applications in U.S. and Canada.

Triple/S Dynamics and Wright Machinery have formed an alliance which will enable the companies to combine their products to provide customers with complete packaging systems designed for gentle product handling. These systems include distribution conveyors, bulk storage /accumulation systems and integrated controls systems.

Land O’ Lakes, Inc. hired Gary Corbett to head its Fluid Milk Supply Division. Previously, Corbett served in leadership positions with Dean Foods, Inc. including vice president for dairy and governance.

Gainco, Inc. promoted Eugene H. Parets from general manager to executive vice president and chief operating officer.
