A tractor-trailer filled with more than 600 cases of cookies, snack cakes, donuts and other baked treats left Davenport, Iowa, bound for the 5,500 sailors aboard the U.S.S. Among the baked goods shipped were donuts donated by Mrs Baird's Bakeries (Bimbo Bakeries USA), Fort Worth, Texas; honeybuns from Flowers Bakeries, Thomasville, Ga.; Ding Dongs snack cakes from Interstate Brands Corp., Kansas City, Mo.; Chips Deluxe chocolate chip cookies from Keebler Foods, Elmhurst, Ill.; Goldfish snack crackers from Pepperidge Farm, Norwalk, Conn.; and blueberry muffins from Sara Lee Bakery Group, St. Louis, Mo.
