DuPont Qualicon’s BAX system Q7 detects bacteria and other microbes in raw ingredients, finished products and environmental samples with DNA-based technology. The system tests for Salmonella, E. coli O157:H7, Listeria, E. sakazakii, Campylobacter and S. aureus, and provides real-time information such as quantitation or speciation. In addition to safety testing, the system can also perform quality testing for yeast and mold, with results delivered within 48 hours.
