Online moisture analysis

Designed for online analysis, Sartorius’ PMD300 moisture analyzer provides continuous, automatic feedback of moisture content. Utilizing microwave resonance technology, moisture content data of multiple readings per second can be automated, or immediate feedback can be received via manual process control, so oven temperature, air supply and conveyor belt speed can be automatically adjusted to the current moisture content of product in drying or baking processes. The analyzer averages individual measurements over a user-defined period and sends the results to a PC, switch cabinet or PLC often in under 1 second; both core and surface moisture contents are analyzed. Analyses can be customized to the sample and process. The analyzer can also be used to analyze raw materials continuously and document results, meeting the needs of most GMP and user-defined protocols.
