Watson-Marlow Bredel’s SPX food pump is gentle and imparts virtually no shear, aeration or agitation on the pumped product, making it suitable for pumping products such as yeast, whole fruit, cereal, yogurt and ice cream. There are no seals, check valves, rotors or stators. The unit generates suction lift and pumps foods dependably, says the company. Fitted with Bioprene tubing, the pumps perform at pressures up to 50 psi and possess greater resistance to fatigue, stress and deterioration, cutting downtime and maximizing process efficiency, says the company.
