The Tippman Group is constructing a 115,000-sq. ft. distribution center for Packerland Packing, a division of Smithfield Foods. Designed to add 156,000 sq. ft. to an existing 182,000-sq. ft. facility, the Wornick Company's plant expansion is used by its Prepared Foods Division. The project, which was completed in two phases, provides space for additional refrigeration, freezer and assembly processes for the company's shelf stable meals and other products.
