Pepsi Bottling Group's bottling, distribution and sales facility in Wytheville, VA, serves Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. With nearly 200 employees and 24-hour operations, the plant contains four production lines, including a 12-oz. can line, two plastic bottle lines and a bag-in-box line.

Wayne Farms LLC plans to invest $55 million to build a 100,000-sq. ft. further-processing facility in Decatur, AL. When complete in the spring of 2006, the plant will support two fully-cooked production lines. The company expects to add four additional production lines in the future.

Owens-Illinois broke ground on a new glass container manufacturing plant in Weld Country, CO. It is expected to create 150 jobs and open in the summer of 2005. The plant will serve as the primary supplier to the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Fort Collins, CO.

Loders Croklaan announced the expansion of its palm oil processing facility in Channahon, IL, which will increase the plant's production capability to 250,000 tons of palm oil. The company also plans to significantly increase its storage facility in New Orleans, LA.
