Barilla America is spending $96.2 million to build a pasta manufacturing facility in Avon, NY. The 300,000-sq.-ft. facility, which will include a 100,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing plant and a 200,000-sq.-ft. warehouse/distribution center, will employ 121 people when completed in June 2007.


Gold‘n Plump Poultry is investing $38 million to expand its Arcadia, WI, facility. When construction is completed in 2008, 50 full-time employees will be added at the site. The expansion will include a larger, state-of-the-art hatchery and will boost production capacity by 31%.


A $48-million plant expansion is planned by the Wrigley Co. When completed, the Flowery Branch, GA, facility will add 200 new employees.
